These Terms of Service govern your use of Nodrya. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Nodrya is a web-based personal knowledge service with Markdown editing, organization tools, imports, attachments, archiving, optional browser-side note encryption, and account security features. Nodrya is currently in beta, so features, limits, interfaces, and availability may change.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nodrya. If applicable law requires you to be older to enter into these terms without a parent or guardian, you may use the service only if those requirements are satisfied.

3. Your account

You are responsible for protecting your password, MFA credentials, encryption passphrases, and access to devices or browsers you mark as trusted. You must provide an email address you are authorized to use and keep your account information reasonably current.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of notes, attachments, and other content you submit. You give Nodrya the limited permission needed to host, store, transmit, process, and display that content as necessary to operate and maintain the service for you.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload or store your content and that your use of the service complies with applicable law and the rights of others.

5. Encryption and recovery

When you choose note encryption, protected content is encrypted and decrypted in your browser. Nodrya does not receive the encryption passphrase and does not maintain server-side passphrase recovery.

If you lose an encryption passphrase, the encrypted content cannot be recovered by Nodrya. Resetting your account password does not reset or recover note-encryption passphrases.

6. Imports and attachments

You may import supported Markdown archives and attachments. You are responsible for reviewing imported content and maintaining independent copies of important source material. Imports and attachments may be limited by file size, storage quota, server resources, proxy limits, or other technical constraints.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Nodrya for unlawful activity, to violate the rights of others, to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems, to interfere with the operation of the service, to evade service limits, or to misuse service features in a way that creates unreasonable operational or security risk.

8. Beta availability and changes

The service is provided on a beta basis and may experience interruptions, defects, feature changes, or downtime. Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed. Nodrya does not guarantee that any specific feature will remain available indefinitely.

9. Pricing

Nodrya is currently free during beta. Paid plans or features may be introduced in the future. Any applicable price, billing period, limits, and material conditions will be presented before you are charged. These terms do not guarantee that every current feature will remain free forever.

10. Your backups

Nodrya should not be your only copy of important information. Maintain independent backups of content whose loss would cause significant harm, especially before deleting your account, performing large imports, or relying on encrypted notes for critical information.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Nodrya or delete your account at any time through the available account controls. Access may be suspended or terminated when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security concerns, legal obligations, future payment obligations, or material violations of these terms.

12. Service disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nodrya is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The service does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or preservation of every item of data. Rights that cannot legally be waived are not affected.

13. Responsibility for losses

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use Nodrya, including losses caused by unavailable service, deleted data, failed imports, or forgotten encryption passphrases. This section does not limit responsibility where applicable law does not permit that limitation.

14. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the service changes. The revision date above will be updated when new terms are published. Material changes may also be communicated within the service when appropriate. Continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
