Nodrya Help

Use this guide for the main Nodrya workflows and the issues most likely to affect your data.

Creating and organizing notes

Create notes from the dashboard and write in Markdown with live preview. Notes can be organized with nested categories and tags, assigned priority levels and due dates, archived when no longer active, or moved to trash.

Encrypting notes

Encrypted note content is protected in your browser with AES-256-GCM. Your encryption passphrase is not sent to the server. You must use the same passphrase to decrypt the note later.

There is no passphrase recovery. If you forget the passphrase for an encrypted note, the encrypted content cannot be recovered by Nodrya administrators or through password reset.

If you choose to save an account-wide encryption key for convenience, it is stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing browser data, switching browsers, or using another device may require you to enter the passphrase again.

Importing Markdown or Obsidian notes

From the dashboard, use the Import option to upload a supported archive. Folders can become nested categories and Markdown files become notes. Common frontmatter values such as tags, category, priority, and dates can be imported. Referenced non-Markdown files may be imported as private attachments.

Large imports may be uploaded in chunks and processed as background import jobs. If an import fails, try a smaller archive or split a very large collection into multiple batches.

Attachments

Attachments are associated with your account and are downloaded through authenticated Nodrya routes rather than being intentionally exposed as public files. Storage is limited by the quota configured for the service.

Account security

You can enable TOTP multi-factor authentication from Settings using a compatible authenticator app. Keep access to your authenticator device. You can also change your password and manage other account settings there.

Forgotten account password

Use Forgot password from the login screen. When transactional email is configured for the service, Nodrya sends a single-use, expiring password-reset link. Resetting your account password does not recover encryption passphrases.

Deleting your account

Account deletion is available from Settings. Deleting an account removes the account's application records through the service's deletion process and should be treated as permanent. Download or otherwise preserve anything you need before deleting your account.

Still having trouble?

Use the support contact provided by Nodrya and include what you were trying to do, the approximate time of the problem, and any error message shown. Do not send passwords, encryption passphrases, MFA secrets, or password-reset links.
